Information for Researchers
We want to share with everyone our approach to conducting Rapid Eczema Trials. To do this we have made key documents available for use via our Rapid Eczema Trials Toolbox.
Future documents will also be posted as we complete them. We hope that others will be inspired to conduct their own Citizen Science rapid trials in other conditions or in different eczema communities.
Please feel free to use our resources. All we ask in return is that you acknowledge Rapid Eczema Trials. How to cite can be found on The Rapid Eczema Trials Toolbox pages.

How we decided what to research:
The surveys below demonstrate how the Rapid Eczema Trials team have engaged with the eczema community to ensure what we are researching is trying to answer the questions they want answering.
Many people with eczema struggle to understand how best to wash or bathe. We asked people to vote for the questions that they thought were most important. Everyone could vote for….
Having chosen the topic for our first trial, we needed your help to understand how best to design the study and to make sure that as many people could take part as possible….
This survey has helped us to understand the questions about managing eczema that people would most like to see answered by research. We asked you to vote for….
We ran a survey looking at how people with eczema use topical corticosteroid creams to treat flare-ups. We also asked for people’s views on a study testing different ways of using steroid creams. We are using the results from this survey to plan a clinical study…
There are lots of different techniques and activities that people use to improve their wellbeing. We asked you to tell us more about how wellbeing affects your eczema. We also asked for your views on using different approaches to help improve wellbeing….
‘Research Is For Everyone’ is a collection of creative and participatory resources to support public engagement with research. We delivered this project through a partnership with a Not-For-Profit Social Enterprise called Made By Mortals.
We also send out a monthly newsletter to our community and publish regular blogs written by members of the Rapid team as well as citizen scientists from the community:
